For years prior to taking office Trump complained about how stupid it was to warn our adversaries before attacking. Then less than 100 days into his term he does just that. Why?

So the area could be cleared of people and Russian military assets.

They didnt want casualties, just to destroy the weapons site. This was covered pretty well in the aftermath.

Try to keep up.

Cause it's the Russians with boomers laying off our coast, not Iraq and a team of donkeys

Are you really that dumb, that you don't know why he warned the Russians? Surely you can't be that dumb.

Yep. But I said it was a dumbass statement when trump was bitching about it throughout the campaign. There was a contingent of people on here that cheered it on during the campaign and calling those of us that knew it was stupid "cucks". Now those people want to act like it was smart to warn them

WASHINGTON, Oct. 20, 2015 — Senior U.S. and Russian defense officials signed a memorandum of understanding today on air safety in Syria, the Pentagon's press secretary said.

The memorandum of understanding, or MOU, is aimed at minimizing the risk of inflight incidents among coalition and Russian aircraft operating in Syrian airspace, Peter Cook said at a Pentagon's news conference.

The MOU went into effect with today's signing, he said.

Cook said the MOU includes specific safety protocols for aircrews to follow, including maintaining professional airmanship at all times, the use of specific communication frequencies and the establishment of a communication line on the ground.

because of this

The tomahawks were deployed approximately 4 hours prior to the target time. Russia/Syria were given one hour before the missiles hit to clear the area. Enough time to move out people, but not chem wmds. The missiles were already en route.

This was a beautiful piece of military strategy that effectively destroyed the target with minimal collateral loss.

Your OP is a fail.

If you're going to post drivel this stupid, when you have to have enough common sense to know your comparison is ridiculous at best, post less.

Then elaborate on how trump didn't really mean that it was stupid to warn our adversaries when he said it? Maybe link to trump campaigning on warning prior to an attack.

Simply saying a comparison is dumb is either intellectually lazy or you're just spinning to save face. Imagine how much better politics would be if our officials admitted when they were wrong rather than trying to spin

How much warning did he give? It's one thing to announce it a week in advance versus a couple of hours. Besides, he needed to warn the Russians who everyone knew would warn the Syrians. The point of the attack was to disable the delivery system of the chemical weapons, not to kill as many Syrians as possible. The Syrians and Soviets, shite I mean Russians, could clear out personnel but not the weapons with too short of a notice.

Because if we killed Russian or Syrian troops in the bombing the sitation was escalate and become very, very dangerous.

You warn before if you don't want to kill troops. You don't warn if you do. How people can't understand that is beyond me.

I might be wrong, because i haven't followed Trump for years. However, from what i have seen, he criticized Obama for specifically giving out troop movements, etc.

I am not aware of Trump giving specifics of an attack such as date, time, where...did this happen?
