The loss of tax revenue is the loss of power to big government statists.

So, big government types prefer the people to have less money, power and freedom while the big government accumulatees more money, power and control.

Yes. But that doesn't account for the word 'ALL'.
The reason All of them voted against it is because Dems must act in lockstep with leadership. They are not individuals. They're kinda like Nazis.

All of the GOP voted against Obamacare because it's a horrible idea. And history is proving that. There is no way that every single Democrat thinks a tax cut is a horrible idea.

I’m sure this played into it, but the reason the Democratic party opposed the tax plan is because it wasn’t a Democratic party tax plan. The game now is that when the other side of the aisle takes a position, that position must be opposed.

Yes, especially if the other side is Donald Trump. If he proposed that the gov't pay for abortion on demand, the Dems would even vote against that.

Because 2% of $100 dollars is less than 2% of $10K dollars.

If everyone saves yes those that pay more will get back more, so DEMS can push the narrative that the top 1% is getting back more than the middle class. No shat.

I told someone If I handed you a 10% off coupon for Best Buy and you went in and bought a CD For $10 then you will save a dollar. If I buy a $500 TV then I will say $50, don't get upset because Best Buy didn't give you $40 to take the CD home. So I saved more money.

It was a dumb decision for those Dems in red states/districts. As for the rest of the Dems, they are against it as it emanates from Trump and represents a loss of the almighty government revenue that they seek to redistribute to their supporters to buy their votes.

Because people are fricking dying due to this damn tax reform.

If you thought dems fearmongered with the tax reform.. just wait for the infrastructure bill. I have a feeling that a LOT of people will die because of that bill also.

Better roads = people drive faster = more accidents and accidents are worse.

Plus you know who else supported infrastructure? Hint: he called them Autobahns.

It added $1.5 Trillion to the deficit. We’re hitting the debt ceiling a month ahead of schedule. It gives the biggest cuts to billionaires.

quote:

The federal government is on track to borrow nearly $1 trillion this fiscal year — Trump's first full year in charge of the budget.

That's almost double what the government borrowed in fiscal year 2017.

Here are the exact figures: The U.S. Treasury expects to borrow $955 billion this fiscal year, according to a documents released Wednesday. It's the highest amount of borrowing in six years, and a big jump from the $519 billion the federal government borrowed last year.

Treasury mainly attributed the increase to the “fiscal outlook.” The Congressional Budget Office was more blunt. In a report this week, the CBO said tax receipts are going to be lower because of the new tax law.

There is a long list of reasons they voted against it . They hate the idea of companies paying less taxes and moving more jobs to the US. Democrats want less jobs so more people have to live off the government and be under their control.

Because they think taxing the shite out of corporations or the well-to-do yields better results.

Now that they see wage increases, companies moving back manufacturing, and bonuses being distributed to employees they’ve resorted to attacking those as crumbs. Of course, not long ago, Obama was pushing rate reductions for corps (even lower) for manufacturers. But now that Trump’s name is attached to it, it’s a bad idea. Go figure.
