Well if you are referring to jobs staying in this country, the decision makers at the companies making the announcements are saying that Trump is why.

The CEOs have stated that it is trumps pledged policies that are making them do these investments. That is why the credit is given to trump. The people making the pledges are directly giving him the credit.
Obama deserves more scrutiny as trump is saving jobs without being in office. That is how bad Obama's economic policies were.

In other areas such as preservation of Carrier and other jobs, Obama specifically had said there was nothing he could do. Trump stepped in and immediately made it happen.

He shouldn't get credit for everything positive but many of the business decisions by big companies have been credited to Trump and his economic policies. CEOs and other bigwigs in the companies have credited Trump, themselves.

Well when you spend 8 years passing the blame to the previous president you really can't take credit for anything good. Plus the CEOs have stated Trump is the reason.
