Because there isn't a huge difference.

2 failed Trump Muslim bans say otherwise.
You do know that most legal minds are saying the court was wrong to halt the second one, and that they fully expect the ruling to be overturned, right? So, that ruling will fully justify their stance? I mean, if we are going by court rulings, then you would have to admit that, right?

Conservatives are against "Brown Immigration". Not all immigration...I agree...
Against Mexicans coming here illegally.
Against people from terror hots beds coming here until we have a better idea of how to vet them.
Neither is 'racist' but it gets the job done to rile up the mouth breathers on the left.

Since when? There are millions of legal "brown" immigrants in our country, and no one has called for them to be deported.

2 liberals have already responded with dishonest rhetoric. I don't believe they actually have the capacity to be honest and have an intelligent dialogue on this issue, so why bother?
And they all run around saying Trump lies.

Liberalism is a disease that should be fought like Nazism and Stalinism were in the 1940s and 50s.

Isn't that exactly his point?

quote:They don't believe you when you say that is the answer to your question. The standard liberal point of view regarding conservatives is one of a collective who are homophobes and slavery apologists, and they're to believe you when you explain to them that you have nuance in your views on immigration?
we are not against immigration, we are against illegal immigration
If I thought you were a homophobic slavery apologist, I wouldn't believe you, either. It's bigoted of them, of course.

so, are you really saying there's no difference between legal immigration and illegal immigration?

Seriously? is that like killing someone in self defense and murdering someone isn't a big difference?
Except....one is legal and the other is not, maybe?

Trump's campaign was built on dishonest rhetoric. You all don't seem to care about that, though. Plus, Trump has continued his dishonest rhetoric after reaching the White House. No cares again. Hypocrite much?

Just because you don't mind legal immigration, doesn't mean you don't have limits. If you do not limit who comes in or how many come in you might as well have totally open borders.
Can you name me one advanced country that has totally open borders?

You're arguing about moral distinctions. I'm talking about political reality. We have to consider Republicans as they actually exist, not Republicans as they might exist if they were philosopher-princes who did abstract reasoning from first principles instead of politicians responding to popular sentiment.
The last time any Republicans signed on to a plan that had both greater enforcement of illegal immigration and higher levels of legal immigration was when a handful of them joined the Gang of Eight, and they got completely stonewalled and took a ton of shite from their base, such that even Rubio had to back off to "okay, enforcement-only."

I wasn't sure, it sort of looked like he was expecting the MSM to call out liberals.
Why don't you?

I'm against all immigration.
We have enough people in this country already. Adding millions more will just reduce the quality of life for those of us already here, with the exception of the .01% at the top of the foodchain.
