"I have not said that I was a single-payer supporter." — Barack Obama on Tuesday, August 11th, 2009 in a town hall meeting in New Hampshire
Here is what Senator Obama said in June 2003:
"I happen to be a proponent of a single-payer universal health care program".
This is the video to back it up.
"If you like the plan you have, you can keep it. If you like the doctor you have, you can keep your doctor, too. The only change you’ll see are falling costs as our reforms take hold." - President's Weekly Address, June 6, 2009.
This was one of at least 37 quotes by Obama or top administrative officials regarding Obamacare stating the lie: "“If you like your plan, you can keep your plan". Obama then tried to cover his tracks by lying again, stating in Nov. 2013: "what we said was, you can keep (your plan) if it hasn’t changed since the law passed"
He doubled-down on his original lies by adding the clause "if it hasn’t changed since the law passed", which was NEVER stated in any of the 37 previous quotes.
