James Buchanan hands down. The country fell apart on his watch and he did little-to-nothing to stop it.

The idea that everyone who isn't living upper middle class isn't "working for it" is extremely naive.
What sort of straw man is this? One can work hard and make poor choices that limit success.

Not with liberals writing the history it won't. Today's media is a perfect example of what to expect in history books in the future.

WOW, so many possibilities.
John Adams: Alien and Sedition Acts
James Madison: burning down the (White) house
Andrew Jackson: ignored presidential orders and invaded Spanish Florida, told the Supreme Court to pound sand in Trail of Tears, and created a major economic crisis by killing the US Bank.

Abraham Lincoln: Civil War, 620,000 dead Americans compared to 644,000 in all other wars!
U.S. Grant: hired a gang of thieves and died penniless
Woodrow Wilson: “kept us out of the war”, until he was re-elected. I guess he was “more flexible”
Franklin Delano Roosevelt: New Deal created America’s 1st lost economic decade until WWII fixed it
LBJ: only American President to lose 2 wars, Vietnam and War on Poverty
Dick Nixon: ‘nuff said.
Jimmy Carter: never ‘nuff said
George HW Bush: we read his lips
Bill “#metoo” Clinton, should have been 1st successfully impeached POTUS
W: allowed Congressional Black Caucus to create housing bubble with their Freddie-Fannie kick backs
Barack H. Obama: used W’s economic mess to create America’s 2nd lost decade until Trump fixed it

Lincoln, Wilson, FDR, LBJ, Clinton, Bush 43, and Obama all allowed the government to grow exponentially under their watch. Not a fan of any of them at all.

Yeah, it's Lincoln. Everyone who didn't say Lincoln is wrong.

There are 3 kinds of bad

scandal bad - Harding, Grant

inept bad - Buchanan, Carter

policy bad - LBJ, FDR

The policy bad do the most damage, other kinds leave with the president

Well see we have had several equally worthless Presidents. LBJ, Woodrow, FDR, Jimmuh, and of course Obama. When you reach their levels of profound ineptness and/or outright maliciousness towards our traditional values and way of life, there is really no way to distinguish one from the other on that list.
