In fairness to the nonsense, my progressive friends have redefined "racism" to only apply to minorities, by literal definition. White people can be racist. Minorities can be prejudiced against whites, but never racist.
Kind of like what they are trying to do by redefining "fascism" to be tautologically right wing.

I love my progressive friends. Plus, anytime they become insufferable in their politics, I remind them that, as a libertarian, I'm more pro-immigration than they are and ask why they think it's ok to damn some poor brown person to a life of abject poverty, just because of the poor fortune of their birth, in order to further improve the already fabulously wealthy (by world standards) lifestyles of American blue collar workers.

First, I'm sorry you have regressive friends. What exactly do you have in common with them?!?! And second, I realize this may melt their sjw hearts, but it's most certainly NOT up to them to redefine words just because their real meaning triggers them. Yeah, they should really get a handle on how the world really works!

I agree with you. In the rare instance we do talk politics, I've taken them to task over redefining both racism (in the last few years) and fascism (quite recently).

Funny thing is, Asians and Indians were allowed to go on the field trip and they are dominating the academic scene in the Portland area.
In other areas of the country, as you go out to the suburbs, you get a larger white population. In Portland, the biggest minorities are Asian and Indian, and you see MORE of them out in the suburbs than in the city, because they are higher achievers and can afford to live in the more expensive neighborhoods.
