How petty. And false.

White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest moved quickly to diminish Donald Trump’s success at keeping Carrier Corp. from moving 1,000 jobs to Mexico, saying it doesn’t compare with President Obama’s record of job creation.

“If he is successful in doing that 804 more times, then he will see the record of manufacturing jobs that were created in the United States while President Obama was in office,” White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest said. “President Obama has set a high standard.”

Not just petty, but completely dishonest. Because Earnest is leaving out the manufacturing jobs that were lost before Obama started creating them.

Does Obama count building McGriddles as manufacturing jobs?

that's exactly what it is. Someone posted a thread this morning that Obama will create milllions upon millions of manufactoring jobs

Why is he pulling these tricks out of his butt now?

Because it looks really, really bad. I mean, he is the president still. Trump is just the PEOTUS. But it was Trump who came riding to the rescue, cameras all over him, while Obama fiddled.

This comes off even worse for Obama.

Like Solyndra, bailing out the UAW, and placing industry-destroying regulatory pressure on coal fired boilers.

Obama looks like the empty chair that he is. A 70 year old guy is running circles around him while he's actually still president.

Tells you where we are as a country when A) saving a thousand jobs is cause for celebration, usually it's a celebration of the creation of new jobs and B) one side can't put aside their politics for 1minute but instead feels the need to shite all over it.

No kidding
quote:

ERIC COTTONHAM (Carrier Employee): My name is Eric Cottonham and I’m representing the Steelworkers Union, Local 1999. And I’m trying to find out, what do we have left far us — all of our jobs are leaving Indianapolis. I see here you’re doing a lot of things, but in Indianapolis, there’s nothing there for us. I mean, what’s next? I mean, what can we look forward to in the future as far as jobs, employment, whatever? Because all of our jobs has left or in the process of leaving, sir.

PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA: Well, in fact, we’ve seen more manufacturing jobs created since I’ve been president than anytime since the 1990s. That’s a fact. And you know, if you look at just the auto industry as an example, they’ve had record sales and they’ve hired back more people over the last five years than they have for a very long, long time.

But for those folks who have lost their job right now because a plant went down the Mexico, that isn’t going to make you feel better. And so what we have to do is to make sure that folks are trained for the jobs that are coming in now because some of those jobs of the past are just not going to come back, and when somebody says, like the person you just mentioned who I’m not going to advertise for, that he’s going to bring all these jobs back, well how exactly are you going to do that? What are you going to do?

There’s — there’s no answer to it. He just says, “Well, I’m going to negotiate a better deal.” Well, how — what — how exactly are you going to negotiate that? What magic wand do you have? And usually, the answer is he doesn’t have an answer.

This is actually a correct statement. Trump/Pence/the State of Indiana saved 1,100 real paying jobs and Obama kept the minimum paying ones.

If you play Obama's past 8 years backward, you see hundreds of thousands of people get their jobs back and millions end up on better insurance plans.

Josh has to hate himself for this right? Either that, or he should be starring in Hollywood films.

What else would you expect from a community organizer who has never had a productive job in his life. He doesn't understand jobs, money, or productivity except from a Marxist perspective.

I honestly don't know how I feel about the Carrier deal.

But there's not one ounce of class or grace in that President or anyone in his Administration.
