I remember being able to have thoughtful opposing views and discussions would occur. Now if I give a view different than the narrative I'm either banned or down voted into oblivion.

Not sure exactly when but Game Gate was when the problem became so obvious. Zoe Quinn and Anita Sarkeesian were caught working with Reddit mods and gaming journalists to counter any push back they might get. Since then it's really taken over

Was not aware of this about to read on it.

Wonder if the large investment earlier this year from Chinese based tencent has helped sway things as well?

The Chinese have bought up a lot of media influence, as have islamics. A lot of the anti-western/pro leftist propaganda you see in movies and TV originates in China.

It's always leaned left, but about a year before the last election is when all the manipulation started.

Still a great site if you are looking at stuff that is non political, but anything related to politics is heavily manipulated or censored.

Reddit turned completely left when Wiki dropped the emails. And Spez started editing conservative voices. My friend included. Also China invested a ton of money into it. But that was way later.

There's more to it but it sounds insane. There was a time before Q. Haha.

I don't know anything about Reddit, but I know there are sites where if you don't care for trump you are labeled as a weak liberal, stupid, pedophile, communist, etc.

Sad these sites are this way.

This incarnation of Leftist anti Americanism which grips the Democratic Party is of the international anti-colonialist variety. It’s not the traditional American liberal critique, it’s what you would expect from the Chinese or Russian government. Reddit definitely is getting creepier, shriller, more ideologically rigid, more revolutionary.

You can’t even hint you’re conservative on a saints board. The nerds on that site are comrades that likely suck each other off.

The Internet is overrun with comrades. Real men and women are enjoying life, working, going to church, and having amazing sex.

Well IMO its mainly children and college students.

Same thing with all these journalist. Media outlets cant actually afford to pay real wages to its writers. The only ones willing to accept that kind of pay are those fresh out of thought camp. Thus the shitty journalism and why its all gossip crap.

They have endless avenues of attack now. Years ago, they'd have had to infiltrate one or more of the networks, which they did to some degree, but now they can buy up influential outlets as they gain popularity, and supplement it with online mobs and shills.

Basically, everyone who hates us has a seat at the table and can freely toss shite balls at us every day, using our own first amendment against us.

Reddit's the same as it ever was. You Trumpzis and your alt-right echo chamber, on the other hand, continue to careen to the right, creating the illusion that others are moving left.

I have limited experience on Reddit but I've had some vile interaction about of all things, a Netflix show. I don't do Reddit anymore and I've seen it described as a terrible lefty looney place. So I will not be doing it. You know it's Social Media and they are trying to shape us into a lefty looney country. Owners of Rant need to branch out into Social Media and become billionaires.

Damn. Making the comparison that black people who vote for trump are monkeys. That’s quite fricking racist.

Before the 2016 election. At that point the only subreddit where nondemocrats could post without risk of getting banned was the_donald.
