What's the big deal with passing Ryancare?

We know it's flawed and we also know it will never pass the Senate in it's current form. So why not pass the current bill in the House with some Freedom Caucus reforms, send it over to the Senate and let them craft it into a better bill (whatever that is)? At least by passing something in the House today we can get the ball rolling.
If not, a no vote sends the message that maybe these Freedom Caucus members actually like Obamacare along with the moderate Republicans and Democrats.

Trump is simply using the bully pulpit to threaten house dems into action. They are the ones who will get eaten alive in the midterms if Obamacare isn't repealed.
He wants it to move forward and be tweaked in committee so he can move his political capital to tax reform.

I guess we will be stuck with Obamacare then.

Apparently there are too many constituents that like the suckage.
I'm pretty sure that Tom Donahue with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce has Paul Ryan's ear and has his finger prints all over this bill.
Furthermore it would not surprise me if the Koch brothers who are supporting the Freedom Caucus really want this bill to die but for opposite reasons than the Freedom Caucus.
Corporations like government run healthcare. It's one less benefit they have to provide to their employees.

That's the frustrating thing about all of this. They finally have power and leverage, and they trot this shite sandwich out.

Yes, this mythical creature that enacts free market reforms, lowers healthcare costs, reduces the deficit, eliminates entitlements and covers more people?
Oh and can pass Congress.

I'm done trying to reason with the board about this. They are going full retard. Completely ignorant of the parliamentary restraints and don't care to learn. frick em. Let them have their Obamacare.

Yes, Corporations and small business will stop paying healthcare in a year or so and tell their people to start buying their own on the 'public marketplace'. That is their plan. That is the insurance companies plan. They will form a cartel like the banking industry did with the federal reserve. They can set prices in partnership with the government.
The whole plan all along was to destroy the private industry to force us all onto a single payer system: a system that forms a partnership similar to a cartel.
It is genius. It will happen.

So you're saying Ryan is actually for single payer (because his bill appears to not take us off the path to single payer)?

No - kill it and move on.
Revisit in 2019 when we have 58 or more Senate seats

I believe in parlay tricks. A bill that doesn't address rising premiums or the cost of healthcare is doomed to fail already.
A society that doesn't change it's habits and continues to eat and drink itself to death will have a healthcare system that can't provide it it's needs.
I have family in healthcare and say this often. One of the things they talk about often is that things like diabetes will become an epidemic within 10 years. I hear stories about people coming to the emergency room and their toes are dead because they didn't do as they were told regarding their diabetes. they lost their toes.
There are other things that they haven't seen in 20 years pertaining to children illnesses. They see more cases of Digestive diseases than they have ever seen. The system is overloaded and will become even more so if we don't attend to a myriad of problems.
The first problem is government, but government and the insurance companies know what is playing out. So, they are keeping the people at bay promising they can fix something they know they can't fix.
The end result of this conundrum is a single-payer system (in this case a cartel in partnership with the government) that has the government rationing healthcare to a dying sick populace in 10-20 years.
Government will never die unless the people make it die. No way they give up control of healthcare: Left or Right. Just a different version between both.

So in your aluminum foil protected brain, the insurance companies wanted to destroy private insurance so they could be taken over by the government?

A cartel. A cartel. A cartel.
Look it up.
A cartel. A cartel. A cartel.
Damn I never said they were going to go out of business permanently LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL.....
Tin foil?? HAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA...........
Brother, you sit back and watch how this plays out over the next 10 years.
In the meantime look up how cartels work.
Start with illegal drugs. Then work your way to banking cartels. Then you may begin to understand how it works.

Of course you are ignoring the fact that this bill IS a major fix for Medicaid.

Send a clean repeal and new replacement bill to the Senate make the Dems be obstructionists and block it. Make them own Obamacare. Keep sending bills and attack Dem senators relentlessly on this issue.
There are 23 Dem Senators and 2 independents up for re-election in 2018 including seats in 8 states which Trump carried: FL, MI, MO, MT, ND, OH, PA, & WV
If the Republicans pass this bullshite bill, then they own it when the problems with Obamacare continue to grow and they cannot attack the Dem senators for being obstructionists.
Passing the bill is a foolish move which would only serve to allow Trump to appear to ahve kept a campaign promise.
