Not poor at all but salaries in DC are ridiculously higher than in Louisiana.

That's why we aren't headquartered in DC.

I had a very nice salary in DC and I had to pay half my income towards housing costs alone.
I pay $2500 a month for the mortgage and another $850 in HOA fees, homeowners insurance, and utilities (rolling in my cable and mobile phone bills). It kinda sucks.

Nah. I like it down there, though.

I grew up in Chalmette but we live by the Fairgrounds now. I love my neighborhood. We're close to everything.

I work in Central City and that's about as far uptown as I go usually.

Have you swapped the word "melt" for the laughing emoji now?

I had very similar expenses. I lived in Courthouse near Clarendon. Expensive but nice area to live in.

I'm actually usually very pleasant to others in real life.

So am I.

I don't know any assholes in person that I have to deal with very much so whenever I watch TV and see some lib saying something stupid I come on here and find one of the usual suspects parroting the same thing and give them shite about it.

Holy fricking shite. You pay more to live in DC than my pop does to live on St. John. I hope it's a swanky place.

Well I lived in Crystal City my first year here and was paying even more for a furnished one-bedroom (about 750sq) on Crystal Drive. Loved the area, but it wasn't practical to consider buying there.

Nah. After I return from leave my billet is back in Arlington/DC for good (until I separate next year) and my commute will be a good 50 minutes. I'm out in the sticks on the Centreville/Manassas border, but I have a lot of space and a yard.

My shoebox apartment in Crystal City was off the chain, though.

Better save your money, Clint. Trump is trimming dead weight.
