High school drop-out... Poli Sci major from Harvard... true; pretty much the same thing.

A piece of paper says one is better than the other? I know plenty of college and HS dropouts that I would take on any project or team over most of the advanced degree holders I know.

Poli sci at Harvard is a worthless degree for me as a constituent. It means the likelihood of that person being ok with trampling the Constitution is higher.

What is the reading level of Sheila Jackson Lee?

Kid Rock may not have a PhD or some worthless liberal arts degree....but I bet he would never seriously suggest that a fricking island would tip over.

I think a decent reading level and math skills would be a basic requirement everyone can agree with. I don't need a degree as long as he can demonstrate that, and a GED or high school diploma should be considered a minimum requirement.

There are high school graduates who can only read at a 6th grade level and can't balance a checkbook, but not even having a high school degree... can we have some standards here?

Not having a degree is a bad thing unless you're a Democrat. The party of hypocrisy should not surprise you one bit

Civil asset forfeiture proponents and drug war mongers are in the same category as those that think an island an capsize.

There's very few people who can understand bills and statutes with just a "decent reading level."

Understanding the method used to analyze them is a learned skill that the public just doesn't have innately - no matter how smart you are.

This reasoning is hilarious. But it does fit your narrative, so I guess... congratulations?

By "decent" I mean above average.

Solid logic skills as well would be nice.

Shouldn't we all consider Kid Rock to be a bad choice if he has very poor reading and math skills... perhaps only at a 6th grade level?

What project are you working on that you would pick a high school dropout for?

Judging by some democrats already in office, an IQ of 60 or above is the only qualification needed.

So because we have elected a few idiots, and a few smart people that over the top pander to idiots, advanced education and high intelligence shouldn't be valued in our future elections?

If kid rock can develop strong and nuanced takes across a wide realm of topics - have at it, but I can certainly see why many would be nervous about his ability to do that.

I've been assured that passing them is the only way to understand them. Reading them is useless.
