After the trillion dollar mistake and the loss of 100s of thousand of lives with the WMD mistake and this Russian hacking bull shite I'd have to say that every one should take what our intelligence agencies say with a grain of salt.

This is my trust level of U.S. intelligence agencies at this point:

Man, Trump has so much work to do.

They're all somewhat politically motivated at senior official levels so I guess it depends on if you like whoever is CIC.

You're right. That is an important distinction. The career guys vs. the political appointees.

This about my take.

I am not a big fan of the CIA and their policies, but i trust them more than politalk posters, 4chan or reddit.

I trust what I can verify, as the IC should. Where I can't fully vet information, I make decisions based on relevant historical trends and information. As the IC should as well.

There was no "WMD mistake." We wanted a war with Iraq and what needed to be said and done was done.

I don't necessarily trust them but the evidence on the other hand has to be better than "I don't like what I'm hearing"

I trust them highly and always have. They've made mistakes and of course Trump brings that up when trying to discredit them.

Did he also give them credit for all the times they were right? Nope.

A fricking disgrace for the president-elect to take that position, solely because it could potentially look bad for him. They didn't have an agenda in finding this information out. Trump DOES have an agenda to try and discredit them, though. That's the difference.

Brennan is a political Obama flunky hack. So I trust them ZERO. Also the bad intel they gave W, I trust them even less.

Well why don't you explain to these dumbfricks that Russia attempting to influence US elections and policies is not some "ZOMG" unbelievable thing. It's happened many, many times before. But it's somehow so unlikely.

This is why we can't have nice things.

I don't have a problem with the rank and file field people per say.

I just don't have much trust in the top leadership in the intelligence community at the moment.

BECAUSE THEY ARE OBAMA PEOPLE.

I have a hell of a lot more trust in US Intelligence than Assange or Russia.

Well, that's what we are talking about here. No one is suggesting this people are just screwing up left and right. The issue is whether their information is skewed by politics. As you posted, yes it is.

Yeah, just like Obama trying to unseat BiBi, amirite? Does that fit into your overall theory that everyone spies on everyone and it is common?

Ted Kennedy reached out to them in the 80s to influence elections. It's not shocking that they may try to push for one candidate, but it is without proof when one says they rigged the election. All that they may have done is brought Dem corruption to light. Not a single ballot was illegally changed or rigged by the Russians.

Then you can't be helped. The IC literally utilizes propaganda and Misinformation as part of intelligence operations. if you "trust" them then I have a golden unicorn egg to sell you.

"Trust" isn't even a word in the IC. nobody "trusts" anyone. How much do you trust your source? Only as much as you have independently verified and tested his claims.
