The people counter protesting got their way and the statue had been removed. So why else other than just trying to start some shite would they counter protest?

I'm not condemning the driver for what he did by any means, because the dude should die by death penalty. But is there something im missing here as to why exactly a "counter" protest happened?

Counter protest sounds like a nice way of putting, yeah we got our way but now we are going to rub it in your faces and make you like it. Sad it didn't end peacefully but it's not at all surprising and damn near expected to some degree.

Sorry it early and maybe I missed something on this counter protest thing.

It's not a "counter protest"

"Counter protestor" is just the media's euphemism for violent leftist thugs.

Counter protests are in the same category as protests. They are usually completely useless and full of the trashy and the ignorant. No matter the cause.

I would consider a counter protest worse than a protest. Because it sounds like a counter protest, especially on the SAME day as the original protest is just too risky and pretty damn stupid if you ask me. Especially if one side already got their way.

It's sad people that strongly disagree can't be civil, but shite, is it really surprising that this happened. O the shock I tell you.

If you ask me both sides of this particular protest were in the wrong and need to wake up and taste reality.

Like a dude looking for a fight going to a biker bar,

and then being shocked that he got into a fight.

No, rational, educated adults can strongly disagree and have a conversation about it. Ignorant, trashy, and immature people cannot strongly disagree without taking to the streets, chanting stupid things, and clashing with other groups who also came to drag their knuckles at (given location)

All I know is BLM is a terroist organization and should be treated as such.

And what would be the purpose of that?

If everyone just ignored BLM, Antifa, the Nazi groups, etc.... they would vanish into oblivion. But nah, let's keep them all relevant by projecting their views onto wide spectrums of the General population and discussing them 24/7.

That surely won't galvanize otherwise rational people into "defending" one group or the other.

No clue really. Just dudes still sad about the civil war trying to let people know they want at least the prideful part of them, like statues and shite to be left alone? Honestly could not tell you though.

Wouldn't you do this on a different day? It's not like all of America was influenced by a rally in Virginia and that if not for counter protesting the country would be lost.

According to the organizers of the protest that was just a cover. The rally/protest was a white supremacist gathering.

That was my point. Both sides out there are ignorant, hold fringe/abhorent beliefs, etc. The violence itself must be addressed. But as for the ideologies or the groups themselves? They only want attention. Ignore them and they go away

IE: about a way of life

... of course the other side was also protesting a way of life. Neither side likes the way their life's are going, so they've decided it's better (sic) to just make things worst. (Just the iyo in my own words)

O, if that's the case, count me out of the counter protest right? You're not going to convince a bunch of dumb whities that everyone is equal. So just sit at home and sip tea until the next day, and then make some sort of protest. Then blame Trump for all this.

If my kid ever says, I'm going to a protest, I'm beating his or her arse and then making them read countless books on both sides of the protestors until they give no fricks about either side.

Wish the law had simply cracked heads on both groups as soon as they both started acting violent. Decent people shouldn't have to live with the 20 year old stick wielding trash from either side of this "issue"
