What is the CIA saying that Russia did?

I'm having a hard time following this. What are democrats and some GOP people saying the Russians hacked? Did the Russians just hack Clintons people e mails? Or did the Russians find a way to change actual votes? Obviously if votes were changed by another country then that's a big deal. But if they just hacked e mails that were damaging to a candidate that her staff sent then who cares.
Us, the Russians, and the Chinese hack each other all the time to steal information. This has taken place for well over 10 years. Anyone who can shed a little light on his would help me out. I've been researching and can't find anything really.

The "CIA" is saying that the Russians hacked the DNC and (probably) Podesta. Then, they gave the emails to Guccifer and WikiLeaks who released them. That is IT. This is 110% a bunch of bullshite. Nothing but libs in the media/deep state melting face over TRUMPGOD winning the election.

I agree. I don't want the propaganda. I want the truth. You seem to have a grasp on it. What is the truth regarding the Russians and the elections? Who is pushing this narrative?

A "CIA source" says the CIA concludes that the Russian government directed the phishing scam that resulted in Podesta's e-mails being obtained. Not sure if the CIA is also saying the Russian government was behind the obtaining of DNC e-mails, but it seems like the DNC e-mails were more likely leaked by someone inside the DNC.
FBI does not conclude that the Russians were behind the operation. FBI operates more on hard evidence and facts, whereas CIA looks to trends/patterns/circumstantial evidence and then make their best judgment call.

Russia didn't even release the emails, Wikileaks did. How is it any different than the Washington post holding on to a video only to release it at a time that would cause the most damage?

An "anonymous source" that doesn't actually exist "said" that.
