Would that make the Anti-Israel people here happy?

After peace talks and UN negotiations Israel gave back 94% of the land they controlled through conquering the Arab aggressors. Israel returned the Sinai to Egypt and Gaza and the West Bank to the Palestinians or Jordanians.

I'd be happy if they just stopped settlement expansion for starters.

Nope. They all have to die.

I wish I was joking.

So if you wanted to build on your land, squatters should be able to whine and complain to get you to stop? I'm sure you would be just as eager to stop.

Do countries not have the right of conquest any longer? Israel won that land in battle, who are we to tell them what they can and cannot do with it?

I would rather my tax deduction go towards my country. If you want to aid Israel cut a personal check.

LOL. Your analogy is pathetic, and shows me that you lack an even fundamentally basic understanding of the situation. But keep pumping for those Orthodox Jewish religious zealots. I'm sure they'd support you in return. The frickers won't even serve in the IDF to support the state they live in.

Do we have to actively support it?

Nope. Sure don't. Never studied the issue at all. Never been there. Never read primary source material in the languages in which they were written. Never spoke to IDF members, settlers or Palestinians. Never. Never ever. Know nothing at all about the issue. Nope. Sure don't. Not one iota. Negative. Nurple. Not one thing.

Why don't you educate me?

Israel doesn't. As far as the international community (and, frankly that includes us for just short of 23 more days), they can FOAD. Anything else is unacceptable.

Sometimes when you have a war some country and lose you lose territory as part of the negotiated peace.

We acquired TEXAS, New Mexico, Arizona, California, Utah, Nevada, and Colorado through war.

The negotiations of the 6 day war gave Israel control over those territories.

Actually the lands were given to Israel's control during the peace negotiations.

Israel did not start the war and did not seek conquest.

I read that the UN considers it "occupied" because Israel struck pre-emptively durning the 6 day war.

My problem with this is that they struck Egypt who amassed their army and closed the strait and kicked out peace keepers which Israel had previously said was an act and justification of war.

Israel did not attack Jordan and Syria until well after they were shelled by Jordan and Syria who sought to capitalize on Isreals engagement with Egypt to eliminate Israel.

Plus, Israel stated during its founding war (1948) that any territory captured during war would automatically be annexed as part of Israel.

If you dont want to lose your shite, don't attack. .

It's real simple. Since 1948, Israel has been attacked many times in form of war.

John Kerry even mentioned the war in '67. Had it not been for the US intervention, Israel would have taken the capital of Egypt and more. In 6 days, Israel repelled several nations attacking them at once and wiped them out!

In exchange for peace, Israel agreed to give 94% of all of the land back. They did. the 6% was kept for buffer zones.

That peace never came.

Israel tried again. The areas that are being talked about right now was negotiated. And peace NEVER came.

Sad but true. A decade or more ago Israel agreed to all, yes all of the PLOs demands in exchange for the simple statement that Israel has a right to exist. ........ The PLO rejected the offer. Peace through force is the only solution

Err, thanks. Now relate this to the settlement issues, which is what I was talking about.
