In November 2009, Army Major Nidal Malik Hasan opened fire in an attack at Fort Hood in Killeen, Texas. Hassan killed 13 people and wounded over 30 more.

In April 2013, Chechen brothers Dzhokhar Tsarnaev and Tamerlan Tsarnaev exploded two pressure cooker bombs near the finish line of the Boston Marathon.

In June 2009, a man named Abdulhakim Mujahid Muhammad killed one soldier and injured another in a drive-by shooting targeting a U.S. military recruiting office in Little Rock, Ark. The incident was eerily similar to Thursday’s shooting in Chattanooga.

In October 2014, a man who had recently converted to Islam attacked four New York City police officers with an 18-inch metal hatchet. The incident occurred on a crowded sidewalk in Queens.

The attacker, 32-year-old Zale H. Thompson, was a frequent visitor of websites such as al-Shabaab and ISIS which promote Islamic terror. He appears to have had a Facebook page featuring Arabic writing and a photograph of a Muslim warrior
(Granted the Travel ban would not have prevented this attack, however. you specifically said we have not been having terrorist attacks.)

In May 2015, two men opened fire outside of the Muhammad Art Exhibit event at the Curtis Culwell Center in Garland, Texas. The event featured the first inaugural “Draw the Prophet” contest.

Moore, Oklahoma, September 24, 2014. Alton Nolen beheaded a woman, Colleen Huff, at a Vaughan Foods plant and stabbed and injured another person. While Nolen's motives are unclear, he appears to have been another radicalized Muslim who was obsessed with beheadings.

Queens, New York, October 23, 2014. Zale Thompson, another self-radicalized Muslim, injured two police officers with a hatchet before being shot dead by other cops. Thompson reportedly indoctrinated himself with ISIS, al-Qaeda and al-Shabab–a Somali jihadist terror group–websites and was a lone wolf attacker.

San Bernardino, California, December 14, 2015. Two radical Islamists, Syed Farook and Tashfeen Malik, shot and murdered 14 people and injured 22 others at an office holiday party.
