Apocalypse. Beck told me so.
I figured that answer would pop up. I am hoping (blind hope, I know) that since the economy seems to be cyclical, by 2020, maybe things will have turned around.
I do still believe that the US is the best country in the history of the world and the phenomenon of American Excellence and ingenuity will come up with a solution to all of this IF WE CAN GET government out of the way.
Edit: As to specific predictions, I think we will still be running deficits, but perhaps not as bad. I think we will be out of any specific wars (yet not out of the regions we are currently in right now - similar to the 1980s). I think weed will be legal in probably 1/4 of the states. Gay marriage will be legal in 1/4 of the states. I think that the Algore going green movement will have lost a ton of steam based on scientific data...I think solar data is going to take precedent eventually in the scientific community. I think China's economy will collapse within the next 9 years. In essence, I still think the US has what it takes to be the last man standing when the EU and Asia fall economically.
