The liberal media has been feeding us bs. She's not as brain dead as they keep saying according to the independent pediatrician.

You're either making shite up or you're reading from some wacko website. There's no brain activity and, in any event, I understand that the decision has been made and the parents and hospital will cooperate in terminating the life support measures.

She cannot breathe on her own. I see no point of keeping her on life support. Obamacare needs to step in and kill her immediately. She is costing us all too much money.

The one thing I remember about the Terry Schiavo case was a comment by a medical expert who said "One thing is for certain. When this controversy is over and life support is withdrawn there will be an autopsy of her brain. And we will know which side was right and which side was wrong."

Sure enough, when they did the autopsy it was determined that she had been dead for a LONG time.

I got no problem with turning the artificial stuff off.

What bothered me about Terry was the withholding of water.

Yes. I urge everyone to set up a living will ASAP. And when you select the plug-puller, try to assign that task to someone who isn't as close to you as your heirs. Someone who will be able to objectively execute your living will.

As sad as it is, she's gone and the parents have to accept that. I feel very bad for them.

My family had to deal with this eleven years ago about my mom, everything the led up to the decision of removing her from a ventilator was a true struggle for all of us. I was the only person in the room that wasn't in the medical field in some capacity, but knew exactly what was happening to the fullest degree. It was a few days later that she flat-lined. My siblings dealt with the hospital as I couldn't do it mentally, so I did the food twice a day for them.

That's tragic. We had a similar decision about 8 years ago with my grandmother. There's always that "miracle" in the back of your mind, but you have a pretty tough time leaving them like that.

The best part came a few days later. The family was in Sringfield, Illinois when she died and I was getting frantic calls from my wife every few days. I flew home and all appeared to be calm until the third day when she announced to me she wanted a divorce. There is nothing quite like a kick in the balls that was to even try to fathom.
