We call it "easily played".

It's a good thing Russia doesn't know this.

but this is for a good cause

Alaska's two Republican senators had received a phone call from Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke letting them know the vote had put Alaska's future with the administration in jeopardy.
Good!
They should have gotten that call last week.

Murkowski's constituents are beneficiary of more government give-aways per capita than nearly any group in the country. Yet they are a very small national voting bloc. That creates a ton of leverage. For a Senator from Alaska under those circumstances to remain empowered to undercut the POTUS agenda is ridiculous.

McConnell should have stuck her nose in a corner long ago. He's been weak.

7 GOP Senators voted against repeal today and 6 voted for the same bill 2 years ago. Those 6 deserve and probably will be primaried.

2 years ago, it was just a statement vote that didn't mean anything. Today, voting to repeal will actual result in something.

Every president has done this. Obama did this type of "negotiating" quite often. He was quieter about it though.

Careful there or you will have the progs on the board yelling one of their favorite words "whataboutism"

Trump has shown a willingness to go after members of his own party when they go against his preferred agenda — an unusual presidential tactic.

That is just outright false it is called arm twisting every President has used this tactic against members of their own party to get their agenda passed. Maybe not as direct as Trump is doing it ,but it is still used.

I wish he would swing his dick about something over than the stillborn GOP healthcare fiasco

Trump needs the 'projection' numbers in the Healthcare "fiasco" fix in order to move on and implement a bolder Tax Reform and Infrastructure Bill, HH. Honestly, it's all smoke and mirrors, as they attempt to put the REAL costs of giving every single individual in this Nation access to Healthcare.

But a booming economy is key; and reform across the Board is essential for this. Chicken and egg.

Murkowski won a write-in campaign in Alaska, last year, and Trump thinks he can take her down?!

Generally fricking with US senators is a bad idea. They generally have each other's backs and are not above being petty fricks.
