Whatever percentage companies in this country are assessed to sell in any particular country for a specific good or service.....we assess that same percentage for that country's companies to sell that same good or service in our country. This will immediately level the playing field somewhat with Asian Countries who are very protectionist. As well as with some European nations who are getting away with assessing American companies with excessive tariffs.

China maintains high duties on products that compete with their domestic industries. For example, the tariff on large motorcycles is 30 percent. Likewise, most video, digital video, and audio recorders and players still face duties of approximately 30 percent. Raisins face duties of 35 percent. Meanwhile we abide by the rules and decisions of the world trade organization which doesn't allow us to impose tariffs or duties of any substance on China....Trump needs the authority to set that right for US companies from day one.

Looks like they really don't want their citizens buying Japanese and South Korean products...

Common sense has not been used in the past...thus it is a brave new world! Worker protections.....the kind of stuff labor leaders used to dream about when it was only them and they knew for certain no one was around to hear...and now the GOP is on board!!!! That, my friend, is a brave new world by any measure!!!! When labor leaders who were considered commies just a little over a month ago are now mainstream GOP ideologues it is a brave new world indeed!!!
