If someone came to you and said “flu season is going to be twice as bad as it was in 2017-18 and we’re going to shut down schools and churches and businesses to the tune of trillions of dollars lost and thousands of small businesses destroyed and we’re going to add $3T to the national debt and we’re going to take away a bunch of your rights,” you’d tell them to frick off.

When do we start telling them to frick off?

Here in Harris County it is so obvious that citizens are ready for this shite to be over. There is a stench of overall frustration as a population.

Sort of like the uncle that is always grumpy.. thats the overall attitude. Like "frick this shite man".

Summer is rolling in. Everyone is ready to take there summer vacations and watch baseball.

Its fricking time. frick this.

They don't get it man. So many are just seemingly incapable of grasping the bigger picture. Just absorbed by surface level bs. And I guess some just don't care.

100% agree. And Democrats, Republicans, Trump, and most high profile politicians were all in. It's time to put pressure on states to open up. No bailout dollars unless you start opening up asap. Because, whether we like it or not, state bailout dollars are coming.

I will also add that since we live in such a sensitive, sue happy society, most businesses are going to implement these "over the top" guidelines when utilizing said business until a vaccine is released.

I hate the term "new norm", but there is some truth to it. Businesses are not going to leave any chance of exposing themselves to a lawsuit.

I also believe there is going to be an irrational paranoia toward each other in public settings as a result of the media. "assume everyone has the virus, even those that don't have symptoms. You could get it next!"

Already hearing the narrative with local governments saying that they are going to be facing an insurmountable deficit.

Just a bunch of idiots trying to get federal money to support their bullshite programs.

Yep, I'm surprised a bunch of people on this board don't think it will happen. It is an election year. Dollars are coming.

The Karens will turn on the govt regulations soon enough. As nurses, teachers, govt employees (Karens friends and family) start losing their jobs and getting furloughed...what their bullshite has created will slap them in the face and they will demand we open up.

We have had a General Strike imposed upon us against our will. Now the big progressive Blue States are going to try to keep the economy tanked for as long as possible just to hurt Trump.

Cannot lie—booze is definitely my self medication. And i would say “the opiate of the masses.” I am trying to get my consumption under control (Lord help me).

Hate to say it but it's over man.

You can love trump to be red/conservative on every issue but the reality is. Texas, Georgia, NC, Arizona aren't getting redder. I'm not saying they are going Dem now but they are in the near future.

Our country is just full of shitheads and nobody thinks for themselves.

I mean objectively speaking the experiment is practically over. The majority doesn't appreciate the constitution or bill of rights. The police state during this whole fiasco should open eyes that they won't have your back in a second amendment gun grab.

It truly is depressing to witness from a far but nothing will change. We are here and it what it is.

Nothing is going to change it. Sure some pushback but it will only delay.
