Yes, yes it was. If not for the ban, they'd be over here beheading and flight testing queers.

This is the actual issue. Despite Trump’s delusional “we don’t need no nothing from no one” worldview, we do need strategic partners. Trump threw Chad into the travel ban in a cat and mouse game with the courts, so he could claim a “win.” So he offended one of our most effective allies in the region, and they withdrew their tactical support, putting Americans at risk.

Go ahead and call everyone stupid. But the fact is that none of you can dispute the connection.

You are not educated in the geo-political hierarchy that is Africa, to consider any of the countries an actual ally is misinformed at best.

imho,

It was a result of American Troops being sent to the North African Counties.

Why are we in Niger,Somalia,Sudan,Chad,etc...

God Bless America and especially those Americans who lost their loved ones.

There are Niger ambushes at a pretty regular pace here in the states. They have absolutely no connection to the travel ban

OP very clearly has little to zero knowledge of the modern history of West/Sub Saharan Africa. To think that the travel ban is in any way connected to this is laughable. The special forces in Niger had done numerous identical missions in the past. This meeting ran long, they got ambushed. Quite clearly one of the locals leaked some details.

The stretch it takes to connect the travel ban to this defies logic.

I also wonder if OP realizes President Obama sent troops into Niger? Or that the French have been dealing with this type of situation in Chad, Niger, and Mali for over half a century now? Did DeGaulle implement a travel ban to cause such violence?

ETA: A further reason OP is an idiot: this incident happened near the border with Mali. The Chadians operating against Boko Haram in southeastern Niger wouldn’t affect it. Look at a map. The area Chad left is 800 miles away from where this ambush took place.

OP should be shamed into never posting again for believing such a completely retarded story.

Truly impressive how grossly ignorant the left and the MSM are on our military operations and the geopolitics of their deployments. AFRICOM has only existed for a decade or so...

The United States should send in special forces to rescue the hundreds of girls kidnapped by Boko Haram—whether the Nigerian government gives permission or not, according to Sen. John McCain.
