Jesus is this that hard for you to understand?

Millions of kids think Santa is real. Why? Because no one tells them different. So saying that too many people would know about something in order to keep it a secret is not exactly true. Millions of people know Santa isn't real and yet its still kept a secret to millions of kids. TV, movies, books, commercials, everyone is in on keeping the secret.

I don’t even know where to begin. At what age do kids usually start to figure it out? Why is that?

Kids are gullible and ignorant.

How many functioning adults think Santa is real?

I mean, hinging your point on what children believe is true...

Sure, but I'd argue kids are a special case. They're a cognitively limited class of knowers inclined to magical thinking (see Piaget and his ilk) that is categorically different from adult knowers who have mature ability for skepticism. A defectibility criterion for reducing your credence in conspiracies is going to have different plausibility in kids and adults.

FWIW, I just spoke to someone who isn’t jabbed but also isn’t sold on what caused Jamar to suddenly die on the field. He said he thought there was some frickery taking place bc the cameras never zoomed in on Jamar & was immediately thinking why are they hiding him.

People are slowly starting to wake up and question the narrative….

Likely because they didn’t want to show a player getting cpr on live television. Good lord. This is your evidence of some grand conspiracy? Why was this one cooked up?

You think an nfl football player has an obligation to you to make sure you are satisfied he is ok? You have a very high opinion of what you are owed.

Not the player…. It’s sketchy af that the cameramen never zoomed in on him.

It’s 2023…. Since when do they not zoom in when showing other people at stadiums?

Man, just give it up. That nutjob is convinced and won't change his mind, even if 100 people say they saw his face in person that night. He would claim it's all a choreographed cover up at the highest levels.

You can't reason with crazy.

There was a blizzard. There was also a camera inside the box filming from the side. I love that a cameraman not doing what you expect is evidence of some grand conspiracy.

I quit watching years ago so frankly I have no opinion on whether it was him or not.

My point is that there are very rational people who are thinking wtf is going on? Why are they hiding him when every other time they zoom in on a famous person they’re talking about it?

You’re the one talking about grand conspiracies. I didn’t claim it was evidence of anything.

ok. I’m claiming there is a conspiracy? I’m calling those that see a conspiracy loons. Simple as that. It’s not rational to think something nefarious is happening because a cameraman didn’t act in the manner your expect.

Yeah, you're right, but it's fascinating. I would love to see how some people here would perform on tests for apophenia (tendency to see patterns in randomness like static fields or see random coin flips as rigged). There's a correlation with unusual numbers of strongly-held conspiratorial beliefs.

Yep.

People like this see what they want/need to see. They start with a nut job assertion, like vaccines are murdering people, then seek out anything they think supports that assertion.

I thought the reference was to cameramen not filming the cpr. I was wrong, people are up in arms about the cameramens performance last night. Deeply insightful stuff.
