I think the conflict in the thread comes from differences in standards for warranting belief in a context of ambiguous visual evidence and a certain amount of testimonial evidence from people who were there and a certain amount of baseline plausibility about the likelihood of injured players attending a home playoff games. Most people think your standard for warrant is weirdly high, but I have a feeling this board will have a higher-than-average number of people who think like you do.
