Poetic justice, but not unprecedented. I didn't hear any democrats (on this forum) complaining when the democrats shut off debate (did we even have any debate?) on the so-called Affordable Care Act. Well, McConnell had to hold up his confirmation so that he could vote for DeVos as the vote would've been 49-50 against DeVos if he was no longer a sitting Senator and his replacement had not yet been named/sworn in.
