Much like disease and the money made treating it vs curing it, there’s a lot more money to be made in fighting a war than it is winning it.

I agree 100% with you but our government will have enough greed to get involved but not the stomach to do the job. This will result in deaths that do not resolve the conflict but just breed more US hating terrorists both foreign and domestic.

The politicians will be willing to offer up American soldiers while handcuffing them from actually winning. Cause the goal will be to enrich those calling the shots.

Israel has a global intelligence network that rivals countries like Spain, Germany and to a lesser extent, Great Britain. Regionally, they have no intelligence rival at all. This is a country that actually has moles in Iran. Israel shares a home with and sleeps with the enemy and has done so for decades. Second only to North Korea, there's no more of a paranoid country than Israel.

No one and I mean no one will convince me Israel didn't see this coming. This was no intelligence failure.

So much wrong with your post, even though you are right that there is a MIC that wants war.

First, we do NOT want war in the Middle East. That's why the war was started by our enemies and not us. It's very obvious what is going on. Iran, and Russia and China, are trying to force Israel into a shooting war with the wider Middle Eastern Muslim countries, particularly Iran.

The idea is to force America's MIC into feeding weapons and materiel into that theater at the same time we are supplying Ukraine. It's likely that, if they can do that, China will attack Taiwan. Our enemies have united and are trying to force us into this Middle Eastern war. The Biden administration is trying to isolate the war to Israel/Gaza.

As this progresses, and America/Israel does not take the Iran bait, look for more obvious provocation, like attacks on our ships. Contrary to your opinion, America will do its best to avoid those provocations and contain the war, all the while ramping up our MIC so that we can handle the coming challenges.

We might not be successful containing it, but that is clearly our intention.

Another gross mistake you made was to say that the point of the Korean, Vietnamese, and Gulf Wars was to make money. You also say we haven't won a war since WW2, which is knownothingism. We won the First Gulf War in a shockingly fast manner, or is Iraq still in Kuwait? We won the Second Gulf War as well. Then there are minor wars won like Grenada and Panama.

The Korean War ended in a stalemate, so it definitely wasn't won. The Vietnam War was lost, however, it is a slander to say it was fought for money. It was fought to halt the spread of communism, and it was a huge success. We bogged them down in Vietnam for so long that, when it was over the "Domino Theory" was also finished.

America should not drop one bomb, launch one missile or fire one single bullet in this conflict.

This is widely agreed upon, however, we don't fully control this.

If we were to leave Israel to its devices, and it was overwhelmed and defeated, do you think that would end our problems? Do you think the Ayatollahs would say, "This is close enough to a worldwide caliphate; we needn't do more"? Of course not. We would still be facing the three-headed enemy that is China, Russia and Iran, only the Middle Eastern battle would have moved to Turkey and Greece. Should we stay out of those conflicts, too?

When you finally realize that head-in-sand diplomacy gave you a short holiday and not a holiday from history the task facing us will be much harder than the one facing us now.

Except the leaders often ARE replaced. Neville Chamberlain was replaced because his policies of appeasement were unsuccessful. Bibi Netanyahu looks to be in trouble, too.

I picture some old dudes sitting around having just popped some little blue pills...eagerly awaiting word that we are getting a war.

During Trump they had Iran all lined up and ready to go in hard on them but Trump would not give the OK at he last second thank god. Looks like that won't be the case this time with a warmonger in charge.

Call it what you want. I call it incompetence. The 9/11 attacks came many months after the FBI had been told, on several occasions, that there were Arabs learning to fly planes in Belle Glade, Florida, and they had no interest in learning to land.

Many see this as proof that the government knew about the attacks and wanted them to happen. They did not. They are just a bunch of stupid, incompetent grifters whose talent is conning voters and stealing money.

Some, not all.

What would Iran get out this plan? Seems like a shitty deal for them.

They're certainly testing the waters. There is a very real post-9/11 energy around, you see it a lot on here with people who are giddy at the thought of a Muslim genocide occurring.

So we were for communism before we were against it?
