Violent protesters do not speak for me, and they aren't liberal

I don't know who those people are or what their motivation is, but they unequivocally are not liberal and should not be considered as such. Liberalism is and has always been about freedom of speech and ideas, and these militant leftists, militant anarco-communists, or whatever they are have no place in my ideology or any political party I want to be associated with.
I want to point out that the vast majority of protests in the last few weeks have been peaceful, for example I believe the Women's march in DC did not result in a single arrest. I don't agree with most of you on most issues but I would under no circumstances stand idly by if any of you (or anybody for that matter, and yes that includes the Richard Spencers of the world ) were attacked simply for their beliefs. That is not who we are as a country. A REAL protest would have been for people to buy up all the tickets to Milo's event and then not show up.
What happened was disgusting and a complete embarrassment on multiple levels.

The Democrats have been co-opted by LEFTISTS in the same way the Republicans were co-opted by Neo-Conservative warhawks.

I was in my younger 20's during the Iraq war. We protested a lot but there was never any hint of violence whatsoever and I would have had nothing to do with them if they had gone down that road.

This is a problem of both sides though. I have several liberal friends, and we get into heated arguments. But we're friends and get over it as soon as we get our opinions out. You know,like adults are supposed to interact..

I'm glad for the realization by you of the situation but I hope you also realize that it will be up to people like you with that belief to actually make your voice heard by hook or crook to do something about it.

I can buy that you do not want to be lumped in with them or their actions and I can respect that BUT I find it funny that conservative = racist for so long.
