Cajun is right. This is about the LAGOP's embarrassing loss.

Meh, at least Vitter had a nice history of voting like a conservative and had not been known to be trouble before.

True on the voting record. However, has McAllister voted on anything of significance just yet? I know he said he supports Medicaid expansion, but he doesn't get a say in that.

I don't think either should resign. But I'm not a bought-off hypocrite like Roger Villere.

Demanding this guy's resignation is ridiculous. Most politicians do things that are way worse than this on a daily basis.

1. Why all the heartache. It's a safe district, isn't it? Replace this douche. I don't have a dog in the fight as a current Washington State (soon to be Virginia) resident.

2. I don't think you and a lot of people have thought this through. fricking your best friend's wife, whose kid plays with your kids, whose hand you shake, whose mom and dad you know, is very nearly sociopathic. Clinton was a scumbag as a run of the mill horndog who never grew up. I wouldn't shake this guy's hand.

I have thought it through and I think this isn't any more outrageous than the cloak room deals that are constructed every day in DC.

This. Yes, McAllister is obviously a bastard to the 9th degree for what he did to someone who was supposed to be his good friend, and anyone who voted for him should turn their backs on him should he run again in the Fall. However, if we can't force the thieves and cheats in Washington to resign for what they do with our tax dollars for their own personal gain, then no use expecting this horse's arse to resign. I'd rather save state tax dollars and not spend them on a special election.

You guys missed my first point. It's a safe district. The most it will cost is another special election, but it gives the GOP an opportunity to show that this kind of shite isn't going to cut it. The guy needs to go.

I fully understand your point. But with the current state budget issues, I think it'd be better for the GOP to oust him in the regular Fall election.

The GOP has already condemned it. Like you said, it's a safe district and he'll get replaced in the next election by another GOP candidate with more feigned "moral fiber".

So does Villere want Vitter to resign too???

Should Jindal resign because he is a phony??

Should Villere resign because he refused to allow the rightfully elected Paul delegates to the republican state convention elect the delegates to the republican national convention??

yes

no, but his political career should be basically over after his term in the Governor's Mansion is up

yes

Agree with your last two. But what makes you think Villere WANTS Vitter to resign?

Villere would love for Vitter to resign just to put stink on him for the upcoming Gov race. He wants their pet boy Dardenne in that spot

This, and Villere is a slimeball. They're all slimeballs. The only way to get to their level of success in politics is to be a slimeball. You don't have to f&%k your best friend's wife to get that far. McAllister makes slimeballs like Villere look like saints.

What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be posting about what beer you're drinking?

Nah, I knew you from politics waaay prior to the FBD board. Besides I keep my beer drinking for weekends. I'm not alcoholic or twenty something like some of those guys. I got stuff to take care of like work and a family. Don't know how some of them pull it off
