Not justifying what he did, just pointing out what his defense is likely to be, so calm down before you accuse me of anything.

youtube video

Seeing this video makes me think that he will claim he acted out of fear for his life because his car was being attacked by a large, hostile ANTIFA crowd wielding baseball bats.

Of course, he could have gone in reverse...

Not seeing attacks, other than what looks like a t-shirt swinging at a car that was already moving at a dangerous speed that close to pedestrians.

That video alone for that defense wouldn't work for me if I was on the jury.

Will be hard to get him a fair jury.

It's unclear, but it looks to me like his car was hit by a baseball bat in the rear prior to him accelerating. No idea what was going on in front of the car at the time.

Uhhh...are you joking? There was nothing in that video that showed him getting attacked to the point that he should floor it into a crowd of people.

Had he gone on either side of the cars in front of him he would have hurt a lot more people.

I never said the video would get him off. I said that it shows what his defense would most likely be. I swear, some of you are dense.

Well, the sound of metal on metal could be mistaken for a gunshot. Many ways a defense could go with this though.

If this guy walks, all hell is gonna break loose. I don't even want to speculate on that video.

Uh did you not read his post?

He didn't say he believed it.

I'm not going to speculate about the man's intentions. However, we shouldn't be surprised if it comes out that bricks were thrown at him or something like that.

He killed someone at the end of the day and he should be held accountable to whatever degree the jury deems correct either way.

I'd like to see this video chronologically aligned with videos from different angles. It's really hard to tell but it sort of looks like he's driving slowly, his car is hit with something and he guns it.

But it's really hard to get a perception of speed from a shaky and distant 4 second video.

This angle shows alot more IMHO.

I think the guy is a complete POS dumbass. However, I truly wonder if once his car got to the crowd, if he wanted murder or if he truly panicked. This would be a pretty scary scene in your car

Yeah, no.

I knew when no video prior to the ramming was being shown this would likely be the case. I'm not saying he walks, but he has a defense. I'm sure there is more footage out there, some of which has already been erased.

Looks like he did in the video that played immediately after.

And I couldn't say that I wouldn't do the same if a mob came at me breaking windows with bats like they did there.

That video clip is pretty inconclusive.

Here's a video that shows a few seconds before where the OP video picks up. His car was not being attacked before that OP clip begins, and one could argue the guy that appears to attack the car is trying to get him to slow down.
