Anytime the federal gov't has tried to engineer a result in the market, it has totally fricked it up. They should absolve themselves of picking winners and losers. They are horrible at it.

OK. But don't destroy Oil and Gas until electric infrastructure is in place.

The power grid in Texas failed from one winter storm.

With the discouragement for more natural gas development and coal-powered generation from the Biden Administration, how do they anticipate the grid holding up across the country when everyone has to stay warm and charge their vehicles at the same time?

Hydrogen - not electric. Toyota knows.

Actually clean, not dependent on power grid, still uses electric motors but powered by safe crash tested hydrogen fuel cells instead of lithium batteries.

Fill up in 5 min.

Problem is no infrastructure due to everyone on the non-scalable EV bandwagon.

Probably some grift scheme in play.

The Leftists’ plan is to coerce adoption of electric infrastructure and vehicles by crippling O&G.

Think of all the payoffs, skimming, vote buying you can do by funding huge infrastructure projects.

Whose fault is this? Texas is off the national grid and has its own grid and electric reliability council. Biden and Harris didn't orchestrate that debacle, nor were they even players.

So you think the national grid, with the discouragement of natural gas and coal as sources for power, will be ready for their dream of everyone charging their vehicles?

My point wasn't to say they're the same grid. My point was that there would be complete grid overload if their dream comes true.

Maybe my comparison was piss poor. Let's use the usual summer rolling blackouts in California instead. Now THAT tells us we're ready for all those charging stations!

And...when this push for green energy began a couple of decades ago, most democrats and even some republicans invested millions of their own money into all things related to renewable energy. They won't give this up until they at least get back what they've put into it all these years. They don't care how or who gets crushed along the way to get the returns they were promised.

Yep. Remember this? This is how the AP spun Pelosi's husband throwing a cool million+ at Tesla right before the government placed an order for 600K+ electric vehicles.

quote:

CLAIM: On Jan. 24, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi purchased $1.25 million in stock from the electric vehicle company Tesla. A day later, on Jan. 25, President Joe Biden signed an executive order requiring all federal vehicles to be electric.

AP’S ASSESSMENT: Partly false. It’s true that Pelosi’s husband invested up to $1 million in call options for Tesla stock in December, according to financial disclosure documents. Claims that the representative bought $1.25 million in shares one day before Biden’s executive order are inaccurate.

No exactly true. A significant portion of our NG infrastructure could be used for Hydrogen with minimal changes.
