Before you think this took place in another liberal stronghold state, it happened IN WYOMING (which is about as conservative a state as we have).

Did the veteran retort with a

"I don't give a flying frick what a bunch of foreigners think of my pledge."

Cause that's what he should have said.

I tell the veteran that another veteran (me) thinks the pledge is fricking stupid.

You are offended? Should the other guy have shut up?

The Pledge is more brainwashing poured into your head from birth.

Something recited by rote means nothing, and just cheapens respect for our nation.

There are oaths I take very seriously. The pledge I treat like pablum.

Yet you still capitalize "The Pledge." Guess you're brainwashed too.

So people who don't want to say the pledge have to take time out of their day to allow this guy the opportunity to say a pledge?

What if a Hispanic student wants to sing the national anthem of Mexico?

I still don't understand the metric by which some states of being offended are more worthy of rectification than others.

Yea that was a bad analogy. If it was me, I'd probably just move the flag out of the room and tell him to go say it there. I really don't appreciate when people make a big deal about shite like this.

My post is intended to take the "veteran" thing out of it. Being a veteran doesn't make you a better American than someone else.
