I'll be interested in the specifics regarding Venezuela, because it's mainly their government, not people. I'm sure it just has to do with government cooperation in background info or something.

I guarantee you the Venezuelans leaving for the US are not socialists - many have been stuck waiting on Visa approvals for years - a great country that has gone to shite over the past 25 years - my sister's husband's family have mainly fled to their native Portugal but some remained and have lost businesses and threatened with their lives for standing against the recent regimes. Tragic! Most would love to be here but are applying for citizenship and waiting in line "the legal way"..
