I’m a southerner, and a Virginian, and mama taught me not to be rude - but there are times when you really just need to be honest with people.

A good example would be the bit about Israel being an ally.
You would be presumably surprised to know that we have no mutual defense obligations.
You might also be surprised to know that we’re their number one espionage target.
They spend more spying on us than any other country.
As for Iran. They don’t care about us, and we have no real issues other than historical ones. Namely our support for the Shah, the hostage crisis, and the Barracks Bombing. Those are real, but in the past.
They pose no threat to us, and their brand of Islam is better for us.
Saudi Arabia on the other hand is responsible for spreading the most awful and terribly backwards form of Islam known to man.
Making matters worse, they weaponized it, and turned it on the world. They gave us 9/11, and the war on terror.
Now I wouldn’t say they’re solely responsible. You could look at the Mahdi, and uprising in the Sudan, it’s the same brand of Islam, and the same phenomenon. But the Saudis have turned it into a global phenomenon, which is new, and uniquely awful.

I agree to a degree, we need to keep Israel on a leash because they could ignite WWIII if the hardliners had their way.
