Assange already said in an interview (right before election) that it wasn't muh Russians, it was an inside leaker. He didn't name Seth but he clearly alluded to him.

Is the private detective the source of the story? Does he still work for the family that hired him = especially if they are denying the story?
Does the "private detective" profession have any rules about revealing information without the permission of the employer??
Does the laptop still exist? or has it been returned to the family?
This could all be a smokescreen.
