Came to Trump's team from Ben Carson's campaign team
quote:

Between March and September 2016, NY Daily News reveals that Papadopoulos made at least half-a-dozen requests for Trump to meet with the Russians. These requests led to several of the other members on Trump’s staff to voice their concern, including campaign co-chairman Sam Clovis, legal adviser and retired Navy Rear Adm. Charles Kubic, and former campaign chairman Paul Manafort, who rejected one of Papadopoulos’ requests back in May.

His efforts raised the proper alarms, and he was shut down by none other than Manafort himself

The feds were using him to target Manafort. And Manafort laughed at them.

Now all they have left is ancient crimes and misdemeanors.

ETA: And this clown was shopping a book deal, just 3 weeks ago. Yeah, hes gonna be a realiable witness
quote:

According to a screen shot of Papadopoulos’s Facebook page tweeted by Guardian UK reporter Jon Swaine, the former aide sought book publisher recommendations three weeks ago.

“Interested in meeting with a prominent publisher. Recommendations welcome, ” wrote Papadopoulos.

All they have him on is lying to the FBI. This is small-time compared to what they've got on Manafort/Gates.

"Mr. Manafort's swift action reflects the attitude of the campaign — any invitation by Russia, directly or indirectly, would be rejected outright," adding that Manafort directed that the response to the adviser come from "a low level staffer."

It was not immediately clear how much sway Papadopoulos, who has not commented on his emails, held in the campaign.

Like I said, a name no one knew before today, who is now a documented liar, who didn't even have access to top Trump officials, and was rejected summarily = Nothingburger

Popodaloupolous is either a Clinton campaign plant OR a Russian agent. He reminds me a lot of Carter Page -- a nobody who suddenly appears in the campaign pretending to be important.

This fits in with my theory that the Russians wanted to meddle in the election by stoking suspicions that everyone was a Russian agent. Their goal wasn't to help Trump or hurt Hillary; their goal was to mindfrick the American electorate.

Even the dirt they have on Manafort/Gates is small time. The only charge that'll stick has to do with taxes. At most they'll go to a federal minimum security prison and get the Martha Stewart treatment for 2-3 years before they're out on good behavior.

They've got Manafort & Gates spread-eagle on felony money laundering. The penalty is negotiable and I think that negotiation is going to be based in what they know about other players (specifically Tony Podesta and/or The Podesta Group).

The just-unsealed indictment resulted in a single felony count against Papadopoulos and is not the only indictment regarding Trump’s campaign unsealed Monday.

If all they wanted was the Podestas, Manafort would have easily rolled

They want Trump, theres nothing to give. And Manafort will be pardoned because Trump will feel he got PM into this mess. It will happen as Trump leaves if hes not re-elected, or immediately following his swearing in during his 2nd term

It's likely a single felony account because he's flipped. Wise up.

nothing indicates he "flipped"
