I'm not sure what you mean. TSA are not being paid now.

What’s your honest thoughts on Nancy and Chuck appropriating $12 billion (new bill) in foreign aid yet won’t cut half of that here in the US for the wall?

Honestly that would solve the problem you outlined in the OP right?

TSA misallocates their resources to things like mouthwash in more than 3 ounce bottles and laptops being in a separate bin instead of devoting their time to being 100% sure no bombs/guns/knives slip through the cracks.

They shouldn’t negotiate with a guy using the tactics of a terrorist, otherwise he’ll just pull this same shite holding 800,000 people’s livelihoods hostage over and over and over.

This wall really is about the stupidest thing I've ever seen. Talk about a "solution" in search of an actual problem.

I appreciate your opinion.

Did you vote in 2016?

I did.

I voted for the guy saying he wanted to build a wall.

That guy won.

One candidate said build bridges not walls. She lost.

Wall guy won.

I say let's build the damn wall.

Why do people in government think they have some kind of right to work there?

Jesus frick you dont create jack shite the taxpayers did and have always been at the whim of that reality

More reason to shut it down. There shouldnt be that many people in the federal government.

Government shutdowns have been happening for quite some time now. He’s drawing a line in the sand. Not some fake line like the last guy, but a real hardline

Times like this make me irrationally furious that Congress and the Executive are incapable of passing a budget. Do your goddamn jobs.

Yes I’m sure if someone came along and took your livelihood away on a whim you’d be fine with it

Vague talking point with no real basis behind it other than feelings. How much research and analysis have you done into what federal workers do and which ones should go and why?

I am curious what they have asked for.
They told Trump they'd only negotiate regarding the wall once the government was reopened. Trump said no deal.

There's another thread on that topic on here from earlier this afternoon. There are links in that thread.

The TSA should be permanently abolished anyway

Truth. TSA is a glactic waste of money. I'm more likely to be killed driving home from work today by somebody texting than being flown into a building.

The TSA exists to harass Americans and turn airports into a virtual police state. If you put the airlines in charge of their own security, they have a monetary incentive to make sure their passengers and cargo are safe, because of massive civil liability were something to happen. TSA employees have no such incentive, as they're immune from civil liability in almost all cases. The TSA is essentially a taxpayer funded subsidy to airlines, who should be responsible for their own security.

Its almost like he's trying to get something done.
A concept Congress isn't used to dealing with.

You could see it in Chuck and Nancy's deflated attitude today. They thought they had him.
