I think some of you are slightly exaggerating the media's take on this. They have reported the autopsy, they have reported the fact that there is evidence the officer suffered injuries and they have reported the robbery.

The main focus of the story has been the civil unrest and looting
The media reports what it is told. In these high profile cases, the defendant's side tends to go silent. Results in one side of the being repeated unchallenged, over and over. Shapes the public perception.

Normally, assuming fairness in the judicial system, a defense team going silent in advance of a trial would be advisable. However, in these emotional high-profile cases, it isn't. The shaping of public persona can ruin the life of an innocent target, and those around him. Too late to change that in this case. As exculpatory facts were identified, they should have been released.

No matter your political views or race how could you look at this so far and conclude that brown was a victim? Honestly curious.

Because there is an election in November and the media needs to gin up the black vote for the dems.

Yes, but honestly the facts are also not all out there yet.
One would presume the Governor, Holder, and others would be privy to those. Location of bullet casings, stippling, etc. should clarify proximity of Wilson and Brown at the time of the headshot(s). If the kid fell 3 feet from the officer as has been reported, that would be one thing. If he was 30 feet away, it would be quite another.

Please don't equate liberal with media in this instance. Sure the media is sympathetic with one side, but mostly what the media wants is drama. And to get drama you need conflict and tragedy.

autopsy shows the kid was shot from the front which contradicts some eyewitness accounts that he was running away when shot?
I think the cop was justified but what you're saying here is false. The preliminary autopsy is inconclusive on this. Saw this on Megyn Kelly. Could be a few possibilities.

You're honestly wrong.

Uh, one side wants this to continue and be "bigger". The other side believes it should never have started and that it should be over.

There are no "sides". The only people who believe there are "sides" are race-baiters and racists.
