Trump's Plan to Pitch Budget

I figure with all the BS in the media right now and the this and that about Trump, I'd talk about something serious, something that deems attention-his proposed budget. I'm an old school conservative, I love the $1.7trillion in cuts. Jack offs like McCain and other RINOs will reject it though. Trump needs to mass market his budget plan the way Reagan did in his first term. Reagan had a budget with huge tax and spending cut's and Congress didn't wanna go along with it, because they didn't wanna marginalize their constituents. So, Reagan went on TV and gave a state of the union telling all of America to mail the he'll out of their congressmen to pass his budget. Americans mailed, Congress cooperated, and the rest is history! Trump needs to do a State of the Union and mass market his budget that constituents of guys like McCain let him know, "pass this budget or get the hell out!"

This is where we find out who the conservatives are and who the establishment cucks are.
Has there been a more bold and fiscally ambitious budget proposal in our lifetimes?

Not an official proposal by a sitting president, no. You've had guys running for the GOP nomination blow smoke up our arse, but this the best ever put forth! It will undoubtedly be comprised, to a large degree, however the hope is that it is so conservative in the first place that a compromise will still be a move in the "right" direction!

This may piss off my coonass baws, but LA is gifted with lots of oil and natural gas.
You can fix your own coastal lands.

Does he tel the people about husband overly optimistic forecasts (with which no expert agrees) it's the $2 trillion dollars in creative accounting?
Make sure he puts it all out there not just the back spin job.

Oh and before you think this is a fake news liberal hit job:

Not only would the elimination of the GOMESA funds hurt the state's coastal restoration effort, but it will also hurt the state's ability to maintain newly installed levee systems.

This isn't the first time GOMESA funds were threatened. Former president Obama also proposed a repeal, which was beaten back.

I have a relative who worked directly in the state government on coastal protection/restoration. I also am friends with a world-renown hydrology/sedimentation engineer. I can assure you that almost all the money spent in Louisiana is spent satisfying political constituencies and not on the projects that would have the greatest impact on coastal restoration/preservation.
Thus, there is tons of money that can be cut without impacting the results.

Was Reagan in the mid to high 30s in approval when he did that?

While I don't disagree that we need to tell our elected idiots to do their jobs correctly but the Congress has been telling us (the voters) to go frick ourselves for a long time
