Trump's ME strategy to isolate Iran, what say you?

It's obvious that Barry's pallets of cash and pacifist approach didn't produce very favorable results.

Trump appears to intend on isolating Iran and is giving SA the means necessary to have a stronger and emboldened Iran.

Right approach or wrong approach?

Right approach, except some idiot gave Iran billions to build up their arsenal & also export terrorism.

The name escapes me at the moment.

This strategy hasn't really worked with NK.

The ME strategy should be "hey ME, you need to fix your own terrorist problems".

We likely won't know for a couple decades. As things in the ME go, let's see what group (or government) has a bunch of circa-2017 US military equipment around 2030 or so. Then we'll know if we picked the right side.

If not for China support, which is fading, NK would be gone. It's never a good situation to be an overly hostile country and have only one supporter.

Who is Iran's "china"?

And the response will be "We don't have a terrorist problem, YOU do. Religion of Peace, y'all!"

Something about selling 110 billion worth of weapons to SA doesn't sit well with me.

North Korea has nuclear weapons.

if they didn't have nuclear weapons they would get the same amount of attention that Venezuela is currently getting.

On the surface, I agree with you. However, none of us want our boys and girls on the ground in the ME. We all know the MIC is what makes things tic in DC. Instead of an endless war, the MIC still gets their piece of the pie and now you've given the ring leader in the ME the means to police their own.

It's kind of a pick your poison kind of approach. Iran is going to have to be dealt with at some point. I would much rather SA babe the ones losing young men.

Just seems funny to isolate Iran and criticize them for being an oppressive regime that exports terrorism while at the same time supporting Saudi Arabia.

What do you think our country has been doing with Saudi all these years?

You know the country whos brand of Islam is the most dangerous and the brand they spend billions to export across the world.
