You mean like common decency and ability to withstand criticism without lashing out?

Oh yeah...like GW Bush "respecting the dignity of the Office", and not responding/defending Himself/His Policy/His Supporters...and getting vilified into political hell and opening the door for Obama. Them days are over. We WANT Trump to rip to shreds anybody that slams him...but that gave (the overt criminals) Obama and Hillary passes.

Mess with the bull and get the horns from here on in. About time!

I wish he would invite Meryl to lunch and ask her to talk. We can then point out their intolerance when she declined. They don't want understanding. They want compliance with their beliefs. The new moral majority.

Wait, she lied about him and made a personal attack on national television. Should he just roll over and it up the arse like the OP?

No. He should call her names on Twitter

eryl Streep is a liar and now more people know it.

How do they know it? All he did was call her names on a smartphone

You think it snowing on the top of a mountain is a legitimate argument against climate change, I cannot take you seriously sorry.

If Obama was calling people out for criticizing him, you people would eat it up and applaud him for standing up against conservatives.

Biggest faux outrage I've ever seen.

Glad he gets the truth out there
Ehhh, not so sure these tweets were all truth.

I mean, you can call Meryl out for being crazy all you want, but it would be exceptionally difficult to make an honest case for her being an overrated actress. Give her due credit for being great at what she does.

The biggest problem I have with Trump to date isn't Trump himself. It's that so many supporters will accept anything and everything he says as truth just because he says it. That's not a strong model for democracy.

But I do agree that it's crazy to use an inherently self-aggrandizing platform to attack Trump for something so petty, especially when there are so many other actual problems in the world that she could have spent this time raising awareness for.
