Making drugs more expensive, on it's face, sounds great too me. I realize that addicts will have to steal more from people to get their fix.

Legalize pot and allow American farmers to profit. Tax it and use that money to address the hard core drug issue? I don't know.

Well, if you just take the war on drugs as it's know, and project, it's the logical conclusion.
No, he's right; those making billions annually from drugs will take one look at the MAGA wall and decide to go flip hamburgers at McDonald's. duh

Yep, so crime such as burglary will increase so people can afford. Sounds like such a lovely plan.

The unintended consequences of big government.

I said on it's face. Hit submit too soon.

The hard core drugs that create societal problems can't just be ignored. Let pot heads be pot heads and what, convert meth heads back into pot heads?

It's a tough problem.

Well, people are going to use drugs legal or not. All that differs is under which economy? The underground economy is lucrative, but dangerous. The more expensive the drugs become, the more crime will be associated.

The wall will become a failure if built. Smuggling people and drugs are too big of markets, it will exist forever.

Then why did they support Trump?

Because they were so desperate they could see nothing else.

Yeah. That's completely logical. Billions to burgers.

All we did was legalize pot in a few states and the cartels took a huge hit. Do you see increases of other drugs crossing the border? Are they pouring over the border faster than they ever have before? I'd be interested in seeing these stats.

No one is saying it will end everything. But it will slow it down. How is that not a good thing?

I guess it depends on the unintended consequences. If more are dying, then it's a failure.

I am.

This MAGA wall will end illegal immigration; end drug trafficking in America; and cure cancer.

If you don't agree, you are a leftist wingnut snowflake SJW BLM safe-place hiding communist.

I could have sworn earlier in this thread you said the $14 billion cost will be offset by the $113 billion a year saved By stopping illegal immigration

Hmmmm

Here's a simple rhetorical in response to a simpleton post:
Does a manufacturer like Ford pay for a car, or do you?

In your mind, the answer must be that Ford pays for the car.

Indeed, Ford does pay initially.
Ford pays the cost of construction. But eventually Ford is compensated for the effort.

If Trump shifts trade imbalance, Mexico will pay for the wall as he promised.
It's not complicated, though it is apparently confusing to you.

Please do tell!

As you posted "LofrickingL, Tax dollars at work," what do you see as ""opportunity costs"" in this case?

Well since you don't know, let's start with the basics: what are the alternatives being proposed by Trump?
