I used to think Trump's tweets were juvenile, but lately it's dawned on me that he's calling out people and concepts that need to be called out (Boeing, et al), and it appears to be working. There's no more safe harbor for irresponsible behavior. He's capitalizing on his position as the most powerful person on the planet and firing well-deserved shots at the perps. Finally, there's consequences for bad behavior. Those consequences haven't quite begun to bear fruit, but in time I'm confident you'll see a shift in attitude from major industrialists who'll now think twice about cramming bullshite down our throats. His tweets are a great deterrent to political and corporate shenanigans. Trump is controlling the narrative with his tweets and has stolen the MSM's thunder - and they're furious about it and helpless to stop it.

It's the bully pulpit. Obama used it to prevent terrorists from getting water boarded. Trump is using it to get jobs home and cut government waste.

If half his tweets weren't complete bullshite nonsense, you might have a legit point.

I know what you mean but in reality they are making plenty of noise. They just don't have that lightning bolt to have any effect presently.

This.

I said it after he was elected that he would use it to influence and intimidate RINO's into doing what he wanted. The power of the Presidency is to convince and coerce Congress to implement your policies.

Is it still a little hard to believe that Trump will be POTUS in ~ 6 weeks?

I think this is the most genius part of it all. The best defense is a good offense.

Looking back I feel like Republicans have been playing defense for 25 years, maybe longer.

Neocons came in and completely eviscerated the republican party at the time. Trump just annihilated the neocons and they jumped to the democrat ship. Let's see if Trump holds true.

If only half of the things he states were complete nonsense, he's showing himself to be an unusually honest POTUS.

Yes, Ignominious Donald has exposed a lot.

What he has exposed for me is much different than what you're talking about, but I also appreciate the exposure.
