My biggest disappointment in Trump so far is that he didn’t call Comey into his office the morning of January 21, 2017 and hand him a pink slip then.

Yep.

Not only did Trump wait too long to fire Comey, he completely botched the firing itself and made a clown show of it.

And that happened by meeting the russians the next day, reveal sensitive intel to them, saying that after firing comey the pressure was off of him, and then sit down for an interview with NBC saying that he fired Comey because of Russia and completely contradict his own staff and AG saying that it was because of how he handled the Hillary investigation and threaten Comey with tapes.

It's no wonder Rosenstein cucked out and appointed Mueller. The way Trump handled firing Comey was a stunningly and embarrassingly bad case of political and professional malpractice.

When you fire someone, you do it as nicely and quietly as possible and stay on message as much as you can.

I think that whole episode scared Trump straight as he hasn't sat down for an interview with a network that's not Fox and he has consistently avoided contact with the Russians outside of normal diplomatic meetings.

So you think a man who committed fraud on secret court judges should be allowed to investigate anyone?

Why did he fire him?

If he did nothing wrong, why just not let the investigation play out?

What innocent person doesn’t bask in their honesty and let the facts play out?

Now he has Mueller, the FBI, parts of the DOJ, Schiff, and every liberal in the land thirsty for blood.

And they will get it too. Manafort and Flynn are done deals. I think they take out their bloodlust on Don Jr, and that will be painful enough.

Personally, I would be good with this. I’m kinda looking forward to this orange buffoon embarrassing himself for the next 3 years.

He was afraid.

This is Deja Vu all over again.
They know there is "nothing there there". There was no collusion, this is not the intent of the investigation.

It is to entrap as many as they can around Trump, and the Prez if they can.

It is the Swamp vs the People

This is the Dem "insurance policy".

Just as they did with the prior Republican Admin.

Former Deputy Secretary of State Richard Armitage was the source who revealed the identity of CIA officer Valerie Plame to syndicated columnist Robert Novak in 2003, touching off a federal investigation, two sources familiar with Armitage's role tell CNN.

The Armitage connection to the Novak column is also outlined in a new book titled "Hubris" by Michael Isikoff and David Korn.
In the book, Armitage is quoted as telling former Assistant Secretary of State Carl Ford that "I'm afraid I may be the guy that caused this whole thing."

Armitage was never charged in the "unmasking".

Why?

Because he was a career State Department official(a respected member of the Swamp by fellow reptiles) who, by the way opposed the Republican In the White House, in fact openly criticized Bush and his foreign policy at every opportunity.

However;
According to CBS in 2005
The special prosecutor in the case, Patrick Fitzgerald, did not answer that question on Friday( the question being who outed Valerie Plame) when he charged the vice president's Chief of Staff Lewis Libby with lying to the investigators who were trying to find out how it could have happened.

After they entrapped Libby, the investigation by Special Prosecutor Fitzgerald continued even though 3 months into an almost 4 year investigation IT WAS DISCOVERED that ARMITAGE had been THE UNMASKER.

Of course This info was NEVER RELEASED to the public during the investigation.

During the lengthy investigation the Lame stream media took every opportunity to try to link Libby,Cheney,Bush,et.al to Valerie Plame's unmasking.

This was a key element in the DEM narrative, which was Republicans were corrupt, Scooter Libby went to Jail and this was a partisan political prosecution, DEMS took over Congress and ushered in the age of Obozo.

Ever heard of an appeal? 302s were changed. If Flynn's 302 was changed, then he did NOT lie. The crime was made up. Struck has a conflict of interest. He is the one that interviewed Flynn. The whole interview has grounds to be thrown out.
Flynn should be able to have know charges. I do not know enough about Mannafort.

Because Comey lied to him, and did a lot of bullshite stuff is what I got from reading the memo and reading between the lines.

Although, I think Comey was compromised, let him sink his own ship. On the other hand, Trump is a very successful business man who is use to firing people when they don't "pull their weight".

TL;DR- I see both sides.

If Trump had fired Comey on day one of his Presidency he could have avoided most of this. He waited too long and made a bunch of dumb statements in public and private. Should have just fired the guy and moved on.
