hat chickenhawk wouldn't know a patriot if he was kicked in the arse by one. Thank God that Trumps generation wasn't filled with people just like him. Otherwise, there wouldn't have been anyone to play their part in the defense of America. And as far as defending anything with your life, how would he know anything about something like that, refusing to serve his country like he did.
But by god, he sure is a tough ole SOB, sitting in the White House protected by secret service agents 24/7.

Well, damn. I don't care who actually wrote that speech, it's only because of DJ Trump, whom I did not vote for, that the current US president would ever give a speech like that. Bravo and credit where it is due.
That hit a number of marks for me: emphasis on decreased government regulation of the citizenry, unapologetic endorsement of Western values (including specifically the rights of women), and a statement of defiance to those from the east (Russia) and south (Islamists) who might seek to undermine the West.
I need to read the whole thing but all I would like to have seen is some nod to those countries not in the West who are nonetheless with us (e.g., Japan) but that's nitpicking. This is outrageously good and what an antidote to the Obama apology speeches.
