Where are these figures coming from? They seem to me to just be estimates made up by CNN. What are they including in the numbers? I know when Obama would come to Vegas the taxpayers footed the bill for 2 entire floors worth of rooms at the Bellagio. I'd imagine that's standard everywhere he went.

Just off the top of my head, at least two of the Mara Lago jaunts included very high level meetings with leaders of foreign countries (Japan, China) - and I may be missing others.
Imagine how much trips for the President and his attendant support would cost to have those meetings in Japan and China.
Pretty huge net savings accrued to the US Treasury, even factoring in NYC security, would be my guess...
