Trump not being personally investigated doesn't mean much

Not sure why this has caused celebration on here and the mocking of Dems and the media. Nearly all the focus has been on his associates. Nearly all the reports from the Post, Times, CNN etc has stated such.
Furthermore, it is still damaging to the administration that he has people within his closer and extended circles under investigation. It shows poor judgement when he appoints a guy like Flynn despite his compromised position and lies. It is even more baffling that he waited 18 days to fire the guy.
This has never been a situation where most people thought Trump was personally involved negotiating shady deals with Russian agents. It was always about the people he surrounded himself with and their actions.
Go back to Trumps twitter tirade about - Obama done tapped muh phones and muh wires been tapped nonsense. It didn't make sense, (and I said so numerous times on here at the time) because he wasn't personally under investigation. His associates were, data was collected when they or Russians were being surveilled.
Furthermore, he never handled the situation well. Firing Comey and citing the Clinton e-mails and DOJ recommendation as the reason was an obvious lie. And has been proved such. His team of spokespeople were never on the same page, and would contradict each other or himself. The whole thing has been handled very poorly, regardless of his culpability.

Because those are the two groups that insisted he was under investigation?

2 threads in 10 minutes. Busy busy.
And bonus points for this one for going to the predictable "we knew this already, no big deal" after weeks of calling Trump a liar WRT the claim that he was not under investigation.

Well, draft the Articles of Impeachment. Fould deliverer does not like the way it was handled.

The end game was to get Trump impeached and removed from office. If this continues to play out like it is, nothing will happen to him and this will look like a giant witch (Russian) hunt.

It was constantly IS TRUMP UNDER INVESTIGATION? TRUMP UNDER FIRE etc for months. If not outright stated it was strongly implied that this would all lead to an investigation of Donald Trump himself and charges/impeachment.

Talking points are out. "Nobody said he committed a crime...but this is damaging to his administration"
Y'all screamed about obstruction and impeachment for weeks. Now you are reduced to "damaging to the administration".
Nobody is buying the Russians narrative except those who already hate trump. Y'all just look like a bunch of whackos or the boy who cried wolf.
Oh and OP. You convict Trump with guilt by association....then patronize trump saying obama tapped his phones. We know he was surveilled...while Obama was president. You should be consistent in your guilt by association stances.

No, that's my point. Overwhelmingly they reported that the administration or his campaign or associates were.

Do y'all legit not see how the whole thing comes off as a witch hunt meant to discredit his entire Presidency?

What is the "narrative"? If it is that Russians hacked the DNC in order to try to prevent Hillary from winning, then yes I'd say most independent people believe that. And I'd say that it is most likely true. If the narrative is also that Trump associates had secret meetings with Russians (nefarious or not) then I'd say that it is also true and most believe that. If it is that Russian agents have leaked those meetings and other details to the media to undermine citizens faith in the media, government, elections etc, then also yes.

Ok. Let me punch at least a couple of holes in your post.
If they did not come out and say it, the media at least insinuated it.
NY Times
The Atlantic
Huff Post
CNN
WaPo
Chris Matthews
I can go on and on if you would like. Did you seriously not know they have been reporting that trump was under investigation?
ETA
And I haven't even mentioned Maxine Waters and her group.

I am sure he is talking about the media and Dems, since those are the ones you mentioned in the OP.
