Trump has ruined the Holidays

Matthew from Colorado cancelled his Xmas trip to visit his family in Texas (Texas voted for Trump).
Nancy from Spokane has called off Thanksgiving Dinner (there's nothing to be thankful for).
Ruth in Chicago has moved her wedding date to conflict with her grandparents so they cannot attend (they supported Trump).
Anyone thinking 'Is this from The Onion?'
Nope, it's the NYT, Wednesday, Front Page (you know, the page with only hard news...objective; no editorializing).

Didn't ruin my holiday. It's enhanced it. I was so pumped and thankful after the election I went ahead and put up my lights and tree.

My sister-in-law's family is poor as dirt and has my dad has always invited them to Thanksgiving. Mom, sister, aunt, uncle, the whole gang. She has an uncle that is a diehard Democrat. A couple years ago, something negative was said about Obama and he threw a fit and stormed out. He didn't come last year, and I suppose he will stay away this year as well.
