How do you explain the republicans defecting on the full repeal idea today?

Because some Republicans don't want to go two years of chaos with no immediate replacement.

DUH

We'd have to listen for 2 straight years from Democrats about how Medicaid is getting screwed without expansion funding, and how people with pre-existing conditions are screwed without coverage.

And we could deal with those issues IF the Dems would cross the isle and help negotiate a full replacement. But No, they are dead set on filibustering anything and everything.

Before the filibuster comes into play, you would need 50 votes to pass it. And they don't even have 50 votes for a motion to proceed.

Go ahead and blame the dems and the filibuster. You are just wrong on it.

As usual, you Lefties are twisting the truth to fabricate your narrative.

You're intellectually dishonest and you know it.

Democrats (and most republicans) were completely shut out for input of this current repeal and replace bill, so I'm not exactly sure how crossing the aisle to a locked door would've helped?

Sorry, I'm not going to blame Democrats for a shitty Republican repeal and replace plan.

I blame Democrats for Obamacare, however.

Why is it so hard to understand that both are horrible failures?

Why can't you use logic?

Q: What happens if Republicans try to pass an actual full new repeal and replace?
A: Dems filibuster it and it dies.

Q: So what bill have they been working with since its not a full new bill?
A: A Reconciliation of Obamacare.

Q: Is this Reconciliation measure good?
A: No, it's just Obamacare Lite, not a full repeal and replace.

Q: Why can't they get the Reconciliation bill passed?
A: Because IT'S OBAMACARE LITE. That's the best it can be. It can't be a full repeal and replace. It isn't good enough.

Q: Why isn't it good enough?
A: And we're back to the beginning of this freaking loop. BECAUSE DEMS WILL FILIBUSTER A FULL NEW BILL.

Get it yet?

Because all it was, was a Reconciliation of the ACA.

AND, Dems have vowed to obstruct.

How do you negotiate with 48 people who have vowed to obstruct?

And when your only option is simply stripping out budgetary portions of the bill (Obamacare) that Dems think is their greatest achievement in their lifetime, how do you convince them to "negotiate" this?

How do you get the party of entitlements to negotiate the demise of their signature entitlement program?

Again, they are so spiteful, they are willing to let Obamacare hurt millions of families rather than help Republicans fix something they know is broken and doomed.

Hell, they don't even have a repeal bill!

Logic told me that promising to REPEAL AND REPLACE was the main argument. Republicans couldn't get that with a majority in all three branches.

I remember about 8 years ago a certain someone was calling out the previous POTUS for blaming Republicans about not getting anything done with full control as well:

Obama's complaints about Republicans stopping his agenda are BS since he had full control for two years. He can never take responsibility.

More dishonesty.

You're continually ignoring the fact that all the Reps would be on the same page if they could actually present a full new repeal and immediate replace if they had 8 Democrats on board OR Dems said they wouldn't filibuster.

The Reps can't get to a point of agreement because the bills being presented are shite.

Why are they shite? Because they are only half-measure Reconciliations.

The fact you keep skirting around this and won't acknowledge why the Reps can't come to an agreement is just proof you're a dishonest tool.

And the Republicans have had over 7 years to come up with something better and they couldn't which is even sadder. We need to go after the pharmaceuticals but since they donate an absurd amount of money to politicians that isn't going to happen.
