what a waste of money....smh

I would rather the one time cost of building a wall (and maintenance), than spending $500 billion per year on illegals that are currently here and the more to come.

Not a problem. The Roosevelt Easement allows the federal government access to 60' of the border with Mexico. In addition to being a National Security issue.

end of problem. and we get a biometric-reader in every town out of it. ID biometrics for voting registration. big brother.

It costs money to do that shite too. You're spending money either way, except those "programs" can easily get changed or removed entirely, or even be implemented poorly (the sanctuary city cops a great example of lack of desire to implement federal laws). A wall would be difficult to remove, doesn't change very much, and isn't subject to variable implementation after its been implemented initially. Nor does the wall change based on which political party happens to be in office.

You don't get it do you? Those Texas don't own their land any more than I own mine. Don't pay those taxes on that land and then you will see who actually owns that land. Seems most people tend to forget this little caveat.

You mean the land they now have to patrol themselves at upon risk of death? I'll go out on a limb and say they'll deed it over. It's not exactly the Nile Valley.

About as much citrus fruit produced in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas as Florida.....parts of the region are indeed like the Nile Valley.....Get west of Del Rio though and what is the point in a wall other than warm fuzzies??? It would take a well trained survivalist to walk from any kind of population center on one side of the border to another on the other side....

I hope Trump does follow through with the wall though. It will produce jobs as any government spending does and it will ease the fears of a pretty sizable group of mentally challenged individuals who think illegal immigrants are entering the country in large numbers anywhere outside of legal border crossings. We should do what we can to ease the sufferings of the mentally challenged and if you can do so and create jobs in the process that is the epitome of snow-flake empowerment!

The down side is going to be that the unfounded fears will only be temporarily assuaged....when these mentally challenged individuals realize the wall is built and their local wal-mart is still over run on Sundays after church with well dressed brown folks the damage to the psyche will be devastating....but like any pain killer the effects can't be expected to last forever....

Does it provide access over private lands to the easement?
